On January 1, 2025, the project “Smart collaborative workflow development in the footwear industry - MELLOW” was officially launched.

The project aims to encourage collaboration within value creation networks in the footwear industry and to improve work, process and product quality in international production networks. By developing and implementing a digital assistance system, the project seeks to support and facilitate manual tasks in footwear production.

To mark the start of the project, a consortium meeting was held at Persona – right in the heart of Portugal! The visit included a tour of the production facility, where an AI-based assistance system will be implemented over the course of the project. Initial interviews were conducted to further specify the use case. We are excited about the collaboration ahead!
